FMS 1400mm P-40 Spinner & Backplate review
The P-40 spinner/backplate is a 2-piece item that you must have IOT fly the FMS P-40 using the stock electric motor. But it's design is very poor. Each blade is held on with 2 screws. Over a short time the backplate cracks, or the shank of the blade cracks at the outer screw attachment. If you're lucky, he prop comes off or the backplate cracks, and you glide back to the field and land. But rarely are we so lucky. Usually the front end gets torn off and the plane crashes. This part should be made of aluminum. Or better yet, the prop should be ONE PIECE! That would take all the stress off this plastic piece that isn't designed to take it.
