After having bought this kit, I found a few things that needed work, the basic plane is very light weight, which is good, but it has a real weakness as the structure is good for just one crash, the landing gear is very weak, and I turned mine around and put 3 inch wheels on, which helped very much, the paint came off on my hands just putting it together, so i put 2 coats of water based varnish on the entire plane, which stiffened the foam up very well, the tail is very active, with 40% expo on the elevator only, at 125 % , the rudder is also at 125%, with no expo, works well with knife edges, ailerons are also 125%, with 32 % expo, at 125% as well, this plane flys very well, its not a beginners plane, it would be a good 3rd plane, the super ez is the perfect plane to fly as a beginner, i use mine as my personal trainer, a second plane would be the super decathlon, its also a very steady plane in the air, and also a trainer that i use , so if you buy this Sbach 342, do not buy it as a trainer, its a aerobatic sport plane , its fast, agile and super fun to fly, buy the super ez from this seller, I bought mine here, excellent service, and fast delivery, hope this helps you .

Plane arrived in reasonable shipping time. Well packaged with no damage. Getting it to fly is impossible, it's just one of those planes so poorly designed it does not fly well. After four seperate attempts, each time crashing due to its control characteristics, I've given up on this model and scrapped it.

I was expecting something better than what I received. This is the 2nd Volantex 1100 that I bought from Porcupine and both planes that I have received had the same issues/ problem. When I first open the box I noticed paint overspray all over the stabs and wings. Not pretty at all. Hardware, ESC, servos and motor works great However, This plane does not want to fly right. As soon as you take you hands off the sticks it wants to fly straight to the ground even with trim all the way up. The problem lies within the horizontal stabs/ elevators. The foam is curved which looks warped from heat maybe? I have flown this plane several times trying to fix this horizontal stab issue. I put my wife's hot iron to the elevators and it did flatten out and appears that I have fixed the problem- however, it looks horrible. I will not be buying this model again.
